Garam masala is a blend of ground spices common in North Indian and other South Asian cuisines. It is used alone or with other seasonings. Garam masala recipe:

Ingredients:

200 gms cumin seeds
60 gms coriander seeds                                  
50 gms brown cardamom
40 gms black peppercorns
30 gms green cardamom
30 gms dried ginger powder
20 gms cinnamon
20 gms cloves
20 gms mace
15 gms bayleaf
nutmegs
salt to taste

Method:

  • Warm all the ingredients lightly and make a fine powder or pound them.
