- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg

- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup grated peeled apple
Method:
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, cream the shortening, peanut butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and homemade apple pie spice. Gradually add the dry ingredients to creamed mixture, mixing until well combined. Stir in grated apple.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks and serve to avail apple benefits.

Ingredients:
3 cups full-fat milk
2 1/2 tbsp sugar
3/4 cup peeled and grated apples
3 tbsp blanched and sliced almonds (badam)
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
Method:
- Heat a broad non-stick pan, add the milk and cook on a medium flame for 20 to 25 minutes, while stirring occasionally or till the mixture reduces to half.
- Add the sugar and apples and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle almonds and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours and serve chilled with apple benefits attached.
Tip:
Make sure you grate the apples just before making the rabadi, or the apples may turn brown in colour.

Ingredients:
- Apples -5-6
- Water – 100 grams (1/2 cup)
- Sugar – 800 grams (4 cup )
- Cardamom(Elaichi ) powder-1 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp(2 lemons)
Method:
- Wash the apples, dry them or wipe with a cloth and peel them. Remove the peel of the apples and cut the flesh into small pieces.
- Put the apple pieces in a utensil with a thick base, pour water then cover and boil. Once it comes to boil, boil for another 10 minutes till the apple pieces turn soft.
- After apples turn soft mash them properly with a spoon(used to mash).
- Put sugar in the mashed apples and stir well to let the sugar blend in. Allow jam to cook, if required you can still mash the apples. Keep stirring to prevent jam from sticking to the pan’s base(to check if the jam is cooked, pour a little bit of jam on a plate, it has to fall together, water should not fall separately). Turn off the gas.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 to 5 apples, peeled, cored, and cut in 1/4-inch-thick round slices
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Method:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, milk, and egg; mix well.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil until hot but not smoking. Dip apple slices into batter, one at a time, then place in oil.
- Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden on both sides. Drain on a paper towel-lined platter.
- Place confectioners’ sugar in a shallow dish. Carefully dip hot fritters in sugar, coating completely. Serve immediately with attached apple benefits.
